Pallay Punchu Mountain is characterized by its beautiful colors, its sharp points and its easy access. The Filuda de Colores Mountain or Pallay Punchu is located in the Layo district, approximately 3 hours from the city of Cusco.
The name Pallay Punchu de Apu Tacllo comes from the multiple colors of the mountain that resemble the ponchos used in the Peruvian highlands, a very typical garment of Peru.

This Pallay Poncho Full Day Tour begins in the city of Cusco at your hotel. Our specialized adventure and hiking guide will come to pick you up at your hotel along with our private bus at 4:00 a.m. Then we will travel south of Cusco. A trip that will last 3 and a half hours to the province of Sicuani, here we will have breakfast, after breakfast we will continue our trip for 1 hour more to the district of Layo, here our bus trip ends. From here we will continue walking towards the Pallay Punchu de Apu Tacllo mountain, a distance of 5 kilometers that requires approximately 1 hour and a half of walking. We will reach a height of (4790 masl / 15715 feet) where we will have the complete view of the wonderful Pallay Punchu of Apu Tacllo.
After we have finished exploring this beautiful place, we will return to our bus slowly, taking the last photos, then on our bus we will go to Sicuani Province to enjoy a delicious buffet lunch.
